The seven questions people ask most.
I changed phones and my history is gone.
Everything is stored on the device, not on a server: without an iCloud backup of your old phone, a new one starts empty. Your subscription is different: “Restore purchases” brings it back.
I paid, and the app is asking me to subscribe again.
Tap “Restore purchases” in the app. If that doesn’t fix it, write to us with the approximate date of your purchase.
Can I use my iOS subscription on Android?
No. Without an account, nothing links an App Store purchase to an Android install. That’s the trade-off for never asking you to sign up.
How do I cancel my subscription?
iPhone Settings, your name, “Subscriptions”, CalSnap. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel anything.
How do I erase all my data?
In the app’s Settings, tap “Erase all my data”. It’s immediate and permanent, and deleting the app does the same.
The estimate looks wrong.
You can correct every food and every quantity after the analysis. Sauces and mixed dishes are the hard cases, because a photo can’t show what’s inside them. Taking the photo before you mix helps.
Are my photos used to train a model?
No. The photo is sent for the analysis, then deleted. The original never leaves your phone.
Method
How the numbers are worked out.
The model identifies the foods and estimates their weight and their makeup per 100 g, but never a meal’s total: your phone checks those values and does the math. A food you search for by name or scan by barcode takes its values from the tables below. The full calculation.
